Take one or two short breaks during the test to reduce and prevent mental fatigue.

The very nature of a test situation creates emotional and mental stress. You are under the gun and want to do well. It is normal to feel fatigued or spent. If you start to feel mentally fatigued, you are likely to become careless or experience cloudy thinking. Your performance and test score may suffer.

To overcome this, take a moment to close your eyes, put down your pencil, and stretch in your seat for a minute or so. Do this once every 20 minutes or so. It is amazing how well this works in refreshing your mental batteries.
